My wife also attended yesterday (she attends about 1-2 times/quarter for me and the kids… Ironically that probably means she’s counted as active).
Her description of Sunday school was pretty horrific (I was teaching another class). On the 3 degrees of glory. By the end of the lesson the conclusion was:
Telestial kingdom: forsook testimony in this life/whoremongers (this was actually written on the board…with the backslash)
Terrestrial: Umm… Everyone else?
Celestial: Mormons or people who go through pain and suffering in the spirit prison but had been baptised while dead by Mormons.
My wife said to me later that if was a choice between an eternity with the Mormons in that classroom or level 3, she’s already decided she’ll take her chances with the pimps. I tried to reassure I’d requested a mansion on the other side of ‘heavensville’ – but I don’t think she’ll be joining us at church for a while. It’s ok. She’s actually a far more balanced, fulfilled person outside of the church. I fully support her choices.
I wish I’d been in there. I’d have pointed out that our doctrine on infant mortality means that the Mormons in heaven will be outnumbered by about 1000-1 by African/Asian children who died before being 8 years old.

I suppose that might be a bit in bad taste. It’s not intended to. It’s to point out that the whole concept of eternal rewards in the minds of many Mormon is skewed.
