Good day everyone. I’m new to this forum and look forward to being able to contribute.

I was raised in the Church and am a faithful, active member; I have served a full-time mission in Mexico, been sealed to my wife, and am currently a CTR-4 co-teacher with her.

I was studying for a BA in Spanish Language and Literature, but am now pivoting to getting a BAS in Aviation Science (will likely still have Spanish as my minor). I currently work two jobs: one full-time as a compliance specialist for a non-emergency medical transportation coordinator and another freelance job as a writer. I am also a volunteer officer in four local units of secular, non-profit organizations (Masonic).

I came here because I have had issues with Church history and doctrine in the past; although I have overcome those thus far, it was somewhat difficult to do so with limited resources. My hope in joining here is that, if I ever have any other doubts in the future, I might be able to hash them out here and resolve them more efficiently. I also hope that I can provide my own resources and firsthand knowledge/experiences for any who may be going through the issues that I have already overcome.

I’m not sure what else to include here, but I look forward to getting to know a lot of you. If you have any questions to get to know me, shoot and I’ll do my best to answer them!

Welcome to our little island of misfit toys. New voices and perspectives are always welcome (within the guidelines of course). This is a safe place to express yourself.

As kind of a side note, most of us here value the place in part because of the afforded anonymity. You have given some info which could identify you to people who know you, and there’s a picture. If you’re not concerned about that, fine – but be aware anyone can look at anything here.

    I appreciate the welcome.

I also appreciate the heads-up regarding the benefit of anonymity that this forum affords. For personal reasons, however, I have decided forgo that benefit here.

    Welcome aboard!

We don’t claim any one correct way to navigating the tension of remaining LDS after a crisis of faith. However, we do share what has worked and is working for us as well as our frustrations and failures. I look forward to hearing more from you in the forums.

Welcome! I also at times find myself running into issues with things from the church’s past. Particularly the Joseph Smith era. I look to reading your contributions to the forum.
