It has been a while since I updated my situation, so I thought I would do so now – especially since my life is going to get hectic in another month.

I still am unemployed. I worked as a sub in the schools last school year and probably will continue that sporadically this upcoming school year. I began a focus on editing and writing over the summer. I have edited two dissertations so far, and I am ghost writing articles for businesses (through one of my wife’s cousins). She doesn’t have a lot of work for me yet, but it is a little bit each week.

The big news is that I will be starting a Master’s Degree in Clinical (Mental Health) Counseling in September – at the university where I used to work and where my wife still works. I figure the least they can do for what they did to me (and too many others) is pay half of my tuition. :P My main focal areas will be on couples and faith crises/transitions. The program is six semesters over two years, and we will remain here in Bismarck for at least one more year – so my wife can complete the tuition benefit employment requirement and our youngest daughter can graduate from high school.

I’m not sure how much time I will have once the semester starts, so I thought I should let you all know in advance.
