    Jaw Drop – Elder Nelson.

I don’t know what to say. My nephew is on a mission in Russia and they had a special fireside with Elder and Sister Nelson. My nephew is stoked. I am speechless.

    That’s all.

    Now President Nelson…

I’ve met Richard G. Hinckley. I was going out of the door and he was behind me… I held it open for him and we had a short conversation while he waited for a car to pick him up. He was very personable and not pretentious at all – although he didn’t realise I was neither married nor endowed until I told him. We mostly made small talk and it was interesting to talk to one of these men unofficially as one ordinary person to another. It proved to me that they aren’t all out of touch with reality as well!

I’ve met Jeffrey R. Holland as well. Much more briefly but I did enjoy hearing him speak live. As a speaker he was head and shoulders above all of the other ones that day. I know not everyone is a fan of him, but I actually have a soft spot for him and do like a lot of what he says.

    Thanks Sam,

It is good to remember their human side. Where I live we rarely “run into” them. Years ago Neal A. Maxwell was the visiting GA at a live Regional Conference. Sadly the room echoed too much to hear him.

Thanks for sharing good stories. We need those all the time.
