I was offered a new job today, and I have accepted it. I won’t get into the details of why I was looking, since you don’t need to know the horror stories I could tell, but I will be relocating to Carson City, NV within the next few weeks to start working at a college on the northeast shore of Lake Tahoe. I’m really excited about the job (and the view :clap: ) – and we already have had some really cool experiences that lead me to believe this is where we are supposed to be. I talked with the Bishop in the ward where we feel we should live, and he seems like a really nice, caring man. It’s a big ward with lots of young families, so we’ll see how it goes.I will be giving my two weeks notice next week sometime, I believe – depending on how quickly I get the new contract that will make it official. Things still will be tight financially, especially for the next four months while I am alone in NV and my kids finish the school year in MO with my wife. I have no idea what my availability will be like over the next month or so as I’m getting settled into the area and job. I’m certain my online time will be reduced greatly, but StayLDS will remain my first commitment – and, even if everything else gets eliminated temporarily, I’ll stay up on things here. (I have posts scheduled on my personal blog for long enough in advance that it shouldn’t be an issue there.)
I just want to give all of you a confidential heads-up (since my current employer has no idea I’m leaving yet), in case I go a few days now and then without commenting or posting.
