New face and name

Hi everyone.

This was an easy new year’s resolution to accomplish You already know me as Valoel here. I’ve decided after the past couple years that I am comfortable with my relationship with the Church. I don’t have family or friends that need to be shielded from my online presence in the world of Internet Mormonism. So I decided to just be the real me starting this year. I feel like I can continue better this way with the things I am interested in doing.

My change went from the real me to a (very cute, IMHO) picture of my 6 week old (first) grandson. I’d much rather look at him each time I log on than me — makes me kinda giddy!

This is totally out of left field but your posts have a slightly younger and slightly more personal feel since you’ve revealed yourself in the last week. It may just be my perception now that there’s a face but valoel seemed older and a little less personal. I know it all means nothing but it just struck me. Just an observation that may or may not be accurate.

That picture is probably 5 years old. I like it though. It was taken on a nice day when our family was out for a fun activity together. I turn 41 this month. I have always felt like an old man. I can’t hide … what’s inside.
