I wonder if it would be a good idea to have a forum dedicated to Science & Archaeology. I love talking about them, and I suppose they fit with History and Doctrine, but I think they are different enough that it would be worth a new forum. What do you all think?

I have been researching how to start a discussion forum, and one principle is not to have too many categories.

On the other hand, we don’t have a lot of categories as its stands, so adding one wouldn’t be too expansive. I would have liked another category called “Not sure” for the on the fence people like me.

One implication is that it means someone has to step up to be a moderator of that forum, or an existing moderator has to add it to their existing responsibilities. I know from personal experience to moderate a forum it helps if you have a personal passion for the topic…

Of course I like to talk science and archaeology. Of course I know I’m new, and not asking to be a moderator or anything, but I would be happy to monitor it.

[Admin Note]: The admins have discussed this valid question, and we are going to wait to see if it becomes necessary to add another forum category for scientific topics. For now, we will continue to have these posts reside in the History and Doctrine forum.
