GuestI really like this: There are some really wonderful quotes from the people in the video. My favorite starts at 7:45.

GuestI am speechless and gratified by this. It is a topic I rejoiced in when he spoke on it. I will watch it a few times because there are multiple golden nuggets in it.

GuestMy husband keeps badgering me to watch this video. I think he believes that if I just fix my depression (and it IS my job to fix it) then it will fix my faith crisis as well. But what’s going on with my mental health, AND my relationship with the church, can’t be solved just by watching a video. June 24, 2016 at 7:11 pm #312635Anonymous
GuestAbsolutely, Joni – but it is wonderful to see it being addressed in this way. I hope your husband somehow can understand how difficult depression is – and how different each individual situation is. Above even that, I hope you find more peace in your own struggle, even if incremental, and even if it never fully ends.
At the very least, know that there are people who love you who understand.

GuestThis was our Relief Society lesson today and it was brilliant. I like my ward but today we got to see each other with better vision because of this. The RS President played the video, kept the talk as limited reference, and just gave us the floor. Our experiences varied but we opened up on personal matters. We covered post-partem depression, severe debilitating anxiety, genetic disorders of depression, as well as caregiver experiences – some good, some not so good. It was beautiful. A lot of empathy came to the surface. July 4, 2016 at 6:52 am #312638Anonymous
