GuestSounds like this has been in the works for awhile. I assume this will be a change for the better. My teenage daughter really likes her class, and Ray’s lesson write-ups are inspiring.

GuestI’m curious, I wish they’d hurry up and get on with it. 🙂 For those in the know, what’s this all about? Less correlation?I have no idea what the change actually is, I’ve only heard vague comments about it being less of a lecture and that the material is only available online??? That last point is interesting, not all members have ready access to the internet. I guess they could only roll this out in countries that have ubiquitous internet access… even then there are many people in my church unit that don’t have internet access.
I expect it will be a mixed bag. I’ve had many SS teachers that already did what I imagine this program to be (leading a group discussion on a topic and hardly ever touching the manual). I’ve also had many SS teachers that would just end up preparing their own talk/lecture should the manuals go away. To get this going you’re going to have to get the right person for the calling.
Heck, I’m excited to see what becomes of all this.

GuestWooowooo! I wonder how soon is soon? Jan 2015? Hope so. A shame they will miss the New Testament year though if that goes ahead.
My only worry is a repetitive 4 year cycle could now become a repetitive 1-year cycle.
The ‘teachings of the prophets’ lessons feel so repetitive. It’s the same couple of dozen topics with new quotes but the same message.
Ray might be able to reassure us otherwise…
