But have you read his open letters to Elder Holland? I think the church has a tricky case on their hands, they can’t really excommunicate someone who’s had their second anointing, but the tone of his posts on RfM make it very clear he wants to expose the church as a fraud and Elder Holland as a liar. While I have issues, I can’t agree with his approach and tone.
I would take the other approach and question Elder Holland’s responses. I’ve read them over twice out of disgust. They appear very cowardly and an attempt to circumvent the issues raised. I find nothing virtuous about a person, upon seeing what he/she believes is a fraud, not sharing that with others.
I would also not appreciate someone who believes they have been lied to by someone that many regard as an honest person, not letting others know.
If the institution or the person in question don’t agree….they should speak up.
This is the ongoing problem.
I would say Holland’s “approach and tone” is the problem.

As I have said in other threads, Bruce, we know your position relative to the Church. Watch it. You are skirting the edge of what is acceptable here as a fundamentalist Mormon, when you start throwing around some of the things you just said and implied about Elder Holland. You might believe it, but I wouldn’t go onto a Catholic site and start calling the Pope or an Archbishop a coward. It’s not good form.
Whatever you or Tom Phillips think of Elder Holland, is your entitled position. Although I agree with Ray that this forum may not be the place to air these views, at least you are being direct with them. My problem with MormonThink and with FutureMissionary linking to MT is they are not being honest with their readers. MT pretends to be an ‘objective look’ but with Tom Phillips as editor, how could it be objective when his stared aim is to ‘expose liars?’ Equally, why is FM claiming to be a mission prep website but links mainly to very negatively spun content. As per Ray’s request I’ll not enter a debate about Elder Holland’s motives. Suffice it to say I don’t agree with your view on it.
