I came across this comment today and I just wanted to share it.
The comment was made by Pir-o-Murshid Inayat Khan, a Sufi practitioner who basically said that a keen observation of life eventually awakens us to the fact that once light, or ‘the light,’ is thrown upon life, life begins to reveal itself. And then he quotes the Persian poet, Sa’adi, “Even the leaves of the tree become as pages of the sacred book once the eyes of the heart are open.”
So beautiful.
“Even the leaves of the tree become as pages of the sacred book once the eyes of the heart are open.”
I must commit this quote to memory and be ever mindful of its truth.
