    This sounds pretty normal to me. Diff’rent strokes, and all that. I sometimes can’t comprehend how my DW can ignore certain things. She wonders why I bother thinking about others. It’s a great school in learning to appreciate one another’s differences. The part about raising and training kids is a tricky one, and requires great delicacy.

    Your wife sounds a lot like mine – a very intelligent person who just doesn’t care about the stuff I love to study.

    I’m a questioning believer by nature; she’s a believer by nature.

    I honor that difference. Each approach works for each of us, and I wouldn’t dream of trying to shatter a paradigm that works so well for her. I love her WAY too much to do that.
