GuestOn Tuesday my son returns from his mission to Chile and three weeks from Tuesday my next son leaves for Brazil. We will have all of our children home for Thanksgiving for the first time since 2008 (they were all here in the Fall of 2013, though). My emotions will run high these next few weeks. Please don’t worry if you see less of me during this time – I assure you my time is being well spent.

GuestThat will be fun. Especially the Thanksgiving part. I bet you are so excited to see your one son. I will think many good thoughts and prayers for your family. Best of luck saying good-bye to the second one. Your a neat dad. Share all the happy details when you can. November 16, 2015 at 12:26 pm #306174Anonymous

GuestWe put him on the plane this morning, he’ll be in Sao Paulo in the morning, very early here. I am still an emotional basket case and worry about his OCD tendencies and his highly competitive nature. And I worry he’ll get a nutcase MP or companions. And I miss seeing him in his room and going on walks already. I’ll be OK. I have read most of the stuff posted recently but have mostly not commented. I’ll be easing back in. My RM son is doing great, it’ll be good for him to get back to school.

Don’t worry, I’m sure he’ll get those.
 It’s part of the experience, no? You can’t know what a good apple tastes like until you eat a red delicious and see for yourself just how bad an apple can get.

I like red delicious apples, they’re my favorites. But they have to be just right. Granny Smith’s are a whole other story.

GuestI hope seeing how your other son had good experiences that it helps make it easier for the next one, even though they are different spirits. Good for you.
