The following was posted by szajda in the fallen prophet thread. It’s a little too anti flavored and in your face for my liking, but we should discuss.Well the main problem for the LDS church is that time and technology has cut up with church history and Joseph lies and false prophecies!
And yes there is many false prophesy Joseph did! And with today technology we can test Joseph prophecy and unfortunately they don’t hold any water!
So for just naming:
A) the about 4000 changes made to Book of Mormon
the false clams of book of Abraham (scrolls) that is in the pearl of great price!C) All the contradictions between The Book of Mormon Vs (doctrine and covenant and the pearl of great price)
D) the LDS scripture 3 in 1 and the Bible
E) LDS false claims from church prophets through time!
F) Not a single evidence or recorded of any kind what the Book of Mormon clams!
And the lost goes on!
You can google and YouTube all the facts! All the documents is all online!

The exmormon reddit would probably be a better fit for them. I agree. There is nothing really substantive here. JS had prophecies that I believe did not come to pass but this individual bullet points other things that I do not believe belong in the false prophecy bucket. I will add that for myself it was somewhat startling to realize that JS could not foretell the future. This appears not to have been one of his gifts. Yet, the indoctrination I received growing up in the church made me believe that JS did know about future events. My big takeaway after reading RSR was that JS could not foretell the future. I suppose the good news is that RSR is supported by the church and maybe someday we will have a slightly more realistic version of JS in our SS classes.
Not for our crowd. Nothing new in the complaints, but Reddit Ex-Mo has plenty of like minded friends who will enjoy rehashing the details.
Good call. Way too simplistic and definitely anti-focused. It reads like a cut and paste job from an uneducated source. I’ll send a pm unless that’s already been done. It is a new user so I think we can cut him a break, but I’ll make it clear that posts like that are not acceptable. I deleted the post. I saw the post was deleted. I sent the message, it has been read but there was no response. We’ll see what happens.
