He’s been showing up here and on FacesEast. I did some brief internet research to see if he is a crank or a crazie. He looks like he could be legitimate, but doesn’t seem comfortable on the internet. There are hits about him, but nothing really much published or posted by him. I sent him an email asking what the deal is (in nice but blunt terms). I’ll let you all know.
I was a little concerned since he was advertising counseling services. I don’t want him being some crazy and pulling people into something bad through the sites we all frequent.
Call me and we can discuss. I’ll try and call you this week. He seems mostly harmless. I might encourage him to participate using a pseudonym. He has this idea that his grand work will be compromised if his future patients find out about his personal views — some code of conduct or something in the profession. I don’t know *shrug*, it seems pretty pointless to have all that education and experience and only be helping imaginary people in a “thought experiment” version of a future counselling center in his own mind. I can’t pin him down on real world details, so I think it is all a big dream he has been dreaming for decades. The names he drops have mostly passed on to the next life. So they won’t be helping him much unless they appear as blue glowy ghost like Jedi Masters for their apprentice.
Just be cautious.
