    Boy Scouts changed their name. Who called it?

    I really do think Scouts are on their way out the door in relation to the church. I like Scouts, two of my sons are Eagles. But I don’t think Scouts fit as a program for all boys or a program for boys outside the US. It’s time to move on. IMO if you like Scouts you can do what you do with all other outside the church programs (Little League, youth soccer, dance, etc.) – send your kids to a community troop.

    What kills me is we just had the Friends of Scouting Fundraiser a month ago. Letters read over the pulpit and so on. We are barely a scouting church anymore, but the BSA still got money from us. (Not my family personally. We haven’t paid in years.)
