I am trying to find previous posts about the “one true church” topic, but I can’t search by any of those words or combination of those words – since they are “too common”.

The answer might be simple, but how can I search for that topic without having to do so section-by-section, manually?

Let me look into the indexing features of phpBB. I was dealing with this recently when I was porting FacesEast.org over to our servers. I might be able to re-index. I’ll also look at google search options. I think it’s possible to put in a search string with a domain name filter.

Added a custom Google-powered search page to the WordPress portion of the site:

    http://www.staylds.com/?page_id=347

It is set to search only the domains: http://www.staylds.com and forum.staylds.com

you can search for an exact set of words by putting quote marks like this: “one true church”

I will also re-index the built in forum search today. That will likely take several hours. I am going to change some settings on it (change to “fulltext mysql,” build a new index, and make sure it updates the index when posts are made)

done rebuilding the search index. one+true+church seemed to work fine. I just tested that and it returned pretty nice results.
