This post is to let everyone know of an administrative update/tweaking.

I noticed that there were seven admins and that a few of them haven’t logged in in a year or more. Seven felt a little excessive, I think that’s more than the quantity of people that regularly post now. :|

I created an “Administrators Emeritus” group and moved the following people there:

    Orson – hasn’t logged in since 09 Jan 2018

    mormonheretic – hasn’t logged in since 26 Nov 2019

Brian Johnston – just to give Brian the break he’s requested. I wouldn’t want someone seeing his name as an admin and pestering him for something.

The “Administrators Emeritus” group has all the same permissions as the “Administrators” group. Their user name continues to display in red in the forums. The only difference between the “Administrators Emeritus” group and the “Administrators” group is the people in the “Administrators Emeritus” group won’t appear in the the “Administrators” list.

I can make any change people agree on. I also don’t have any problem changing things back to how they were (I should have asked first).

Sounds good to me. I’d value the input of the more senior folks (Curt, Hawk) who are admins (as opposed to moderators).

    For sure.

It was just me thinking that it was an odd look.

Like I said, everyone still retained the permissions/abilities. I limited it to pruning a list.

I also agree with the change and the sound logic used.

Great call. I wish I had thought of it. :D
