Tracy M is one of my favorite writers in the entire Bloggernacle. She posted “Some Thoughts on Divorce” today on By Common Consent, and it should be required reading. So far, the comment thread also has included some really good stuff.

I am linking to the post both for anyone who is wants to read her thoughts about divorce but, more importantly for this forum, for the applications what she wrote has to faith crises – not narrowly for those who “get a divorce” from the Church but more broadly for those whose relationship with the Church has changed in a fundamental, difficult way. I think lots of what she says is spot-on for faith crises, even as, like in the case of divorce, it is hard to step back a bit, let go of some of the emotions and ask:

    Quote:

OK, what can I do now to move on and build a relationship that will work?

    Some Thoughts on Divorce” (http://bycommonconsent.com/2014/03/21/some-thoughts-on-divorce/)

Please read the post, then excerpt and/or comment in this thread.

That was great. I don’t have time to comment but I do encourage everyone to read it. Well worth the time.

I read Tracy’s piece this morning on BCC and thought the exact thing you posted. It applies to Faith Crisis so much, especially in a divided devotion family. I book marked it to keep it for future reference.

Tracy is amazing, and this post should be required reading for anyone who has divorced, but your application to faith crises is also great.
