I will say, I never expected this but here it is Steve Young and his wife Barb will be the headline speakers at the Salt Lake LGBT conference. http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/news/56728340-78/lgbt-affirmation-mormons-conference.html.csp They stated openly during the Prop 8 campaign that they couldn’t support it. They have too many gay friends whom they love, respect and admire to campaign against what they see as civil rights. Thanks for the clarification Ray, My memory had been that Barb supported it, and that Steve supported her opinion, but that he had been mum on his own personal vote – for or against.
Yes, that is more accurate. She was openly against it; he didn’t share his feelings publicly, other than to say that he supported her fully. My impression was that he did not vote for it, but that only was my impression. Thanks for the clarification. I’m the last one who wants to generalize or mis-state anything.
