Of course the bonds of Heaven and Earth are eternal regardless of the Temple! — IMO (disclaimer ;) It almost seems “so simple” to me and I get frustrated when others don’t see it – both non-members who don’t believe in the temple, and members who believe it “all the way” and perhaps, IMO, miss the whole message and point of the temple. (looking beyond the mark…”) I think Ray makes a very good point. We (many of us here) take the teaching for granted – we get the whole concept because we have been exposed and taught the “correct principle” from years. And many here are also able to make the connection between the symbolism and the spirituality reality. 8-)
