Yeah, let’s not derail this thread and turn it into a discussion of that topic. bridget doesn’t deserve that happening to this thread. 🙂

Thanks for all the discussion. I learn alot from ya all. Also, I appreciated your last comment Ray. Right now, my husband and I feel that it is too difficult in this ward to be a middle grounder. You either have to be ‘all in’ or all out. So, unless we really come to believe the church is true and come back as true believers, its just not going to work for us. But, in life you never know how things can change.

For example, I had to take my husband to the hospital on Tuesday. He had been having chest pains the past week which he had not told me about. He has not been sleeping well because of pressures at work and trying to get some research papers out so as to get some severance pay before he is forced to retire the end of June. With his health history and having some stents put in 5 years ago, the cardiologist said just to go straight to the hospital for tests. Since our health insurance runs out the end of June we also felt we should take advantage of it while we still had it.

Fortunately, his tests came back normal, but they kept him overnight for observation and further stress tests the next day. He hardly got any sleep with the noise and people checking on him all night long. Plus, some of the ‘stress’ tests were very stressful. He is home now, but tired. I am pretty wiped out too. You become very emotional during times like this because it becomes so intensified how much you mean to each other and all you would miss if you did not have that person in your life.

So this Memorial Day Weekend, we are going to take some time away and cherish one another. Memorial day is also a time to remember those who died and fought for us. It is a time to remember those in our lives who have sacrificed for us in general. I am so thankful for all the loving people I have had in my life. You all are such loving people on this group. Life is so short and sometimes we hurt each other in relationships. It is not easy to know how to handle things when we’ve been hurt. We all get triggered by old wounds and it is natural to want to retaliate sometimes. Yet, as Christians, we have to think about what are Christ-like solutions. How have all of you dealt with being hurt by people you have loved in your lives?

Someone posted this on my facebook recently that was very helpful. See what you think?

    Happy Weekend to you all.
