That might be a good topic for a thread. What is our responsibility to help others? What of the beggars at Temple Square?
FWIW I did point out in that part that Jesus recognized the man’s need, and that’s the first step in helping others. I also pointed out that it isn’t possible for us as individuals to help everyone that needs help, but that we are capable of helping people one at a time as Jesus did, recognizing that we do have human limitations including time, physical abilities, and financial resources. We can’t just say “take up they bed and walk” (at least I can’t – well I can say it, but it’s not going to change anything).
