GuestLet’s keep an eye on the temple video discussion. SamBee has an issue with the word “privilege”, has expressed it in the past, and did so again in the the thread. I responded quite directly, but I don’t want it to devolve into a debate or argument. Beyond that, I have minimal patience when people misrepresent the concept, so I probably should stay out of it as much as possible.

GuestRoger that! October 25, 2019 at 8:37 pm #337701Anonymous
GuestI wrote a response directed at Sambee that I later deleted rather than hit send. He tends to get pretty forceful on that topic and I do not want to be involved in that. I appreciate that Curt directly addressed Sambee’s privilege comment so that it would not go unchallenged. I further appreciate that Heber and others were then able to redirect and steer the conversation away from that “privilege” word and back to the OP.
Thank you!

GuestSambee made another odd comment (not bad, just odd). This time on the thread about standing for women who enter the room.
SamBee wrote:
Yes, and while people are off complaining over the use of pronouns, the gig economy has taken over and younger people of any gender can’t get proper regular paid work most of the time. We may be looking in the wrong places for who exploits who.Politicians lead by example. Many of their employees are not even paid a dime.
The comment is not really on topic of the OP … but it seems fairly harmless and not in violation of any of our rules. I am choosing not to comment directly in order to avoid getting drawn into any discussion of politicians, exploitation, and the gig economy and to help keep the thread more or less on topic.October 29, 2019 at 10:43 pm #337703Anonymous
GuestYep, I alsomignored it and commented on the thread itself. I like SamBee a lot, but sometimes . . .
