I think Ray’s right that 10+ on the 14 Fundamentals were fodder. Look at the weak wording of this one:

I agree this is the case on Fs 9-13. Perhaps we should just skip ahead to number 14.

14 is not fodder – but a terribly false and dangerous (and dare I say cult-like) statement to be quoting to folks over the pulpit. Since we have GC next week, I would vote to skip 11-13, and just try to hit this one this week.

I agree that point Thirteen could be skipped without missing much but Eleven and Twelve are some of my favorites in the whole list because I am definitely relatively proud, “learned”, rich, and “wordly” compared to many of my TBM neighbors so maybe Benson was onto something when it comes to a possible correlation between these traits and not following the prophet. Maybe we should combine one thread for 11-14 so we can finish the discussion for all of them without skipping any before conference.

Honestly, I’d rather take them as they come and not rush due to conference. If the talk is referenced again in this conference, we’ll be back to talking about it in general, I’m sure. :P

Maybe we can shoot through them faster than we have been, but I’d like to touch on all of them individually. I’ll close this one and open the next one right away.
