    How often do Church leaders say things like, “If you’re a good Mormon, then you believe X,” or the equivalent but probably rarer contrapositive, “If you don’t believe X, then you’re not a good Mormon?”

    I mean, it’s basically folk doctrine, and some members think it’s written in the scriptures, and the way the Church silences dissent gives the impression that it’s true, but how often do they say it directly?
