I really appreciated reading this, thank you.
We watch “A Christmas Carol” every year, and last year, I was impressed as a non-Christian last year by Scrooge’s promise, “I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. I will not shut out the lessons that they teach.”
– It has made for an interesting year as I thought about “Honoring the Hope/Generosity of Christmas” and “How to Keep the Lessons of the Past/Present and Future” as a personal priority:)
NOTE: I have left a lot more “great employee” comments with employers, and been more inclined to respect and recognize others and how their light accompanies me/makes my life easier. I have “suspended judgement” more often as well – just stuck to the observable “facts” of a situation rather then insisting that it means what I say it does.
