As long as the message of a need to repent (change and grow) comes through someone’s interpretation, I really don’t care if it is seen literally or figuratively – as long as one view isn’t forced on everyone. People see things differently, and we all see through a glass, darkly. I’m cool with that – again, as long as the concept and principle of the importance of repentance (and an unrepentant heart causing suffering of some kind) is maintained.
