It comes across as rude to me. Probably not the best way to make a first impression. I agree, if rude is even the word for it. I have multiple issues with it. Starting off with “I don’t know why you’re posting it either” is trolling IMO. I’m happy to be the bad guy with this one if you all are OK. I promise to be nice, no force choking. Something like “The moderation team examined your post and are deleting it based on our belief that it does not fit with the general decorum of the forum and does not openly address the original post.” I open to wording suggestions. As a side note, I am truthfully taking into account Silent Dawning’s feelings. He can be thin skinned but is a long time participant. I intend to respond to the post I’m just haven’t gotten around to it.

It was enough to prompt me to double check to make sure a spammer didn’t accidentally slip through the first level of approvals.
