GuestI think the Spirit World resembles our own in some ways. There is good and evil in it, predator and prey, saint and sinner etc… and we should bear that in mind with all our communications with it. December 2, 2012 at 6:13 pm #261104Anonymous
GuestMike, Thanks for sharing about your experiences and perspective.
Sam,
I agree.
I also think that “water meets it’s own level.”
We tend to attract, or feel comfortable around those who are similar to us, who we resonate with – whether “good” or “evil” – or more likely a bit of both.

Agree with that, but I also wonder if there are “wandering spirits”, who just pop by, and they are “luck of the drawer”.
Actually as someone once pointed out, why would they be more likely to know the future than us?

I really don’t know for sure, but from my impression…It’s possible that at any moment, there are infinite possibilities surrounding us – dark/invisible energy. Maybe within this energy are what Leibniz referred to as monads – simple substances of perception that are indestructable & can only decide from within to exist or not (maybe energetic “possibilities”). They remind me of the “god particle” popping in & out of existence… depending on how much attention, emotion and action they’re given.
Maybe we only notice spirits popping by if there was something within us that “tuned” in to them.
Within each of us is human potential… it is a little humbling as well as empowering to realize that we share the potential for weaknesses and strengths as the most violent criminals as well as the most accomplished saints.
All this potential is within us, as human beings/becomings! Of course, most of us have functional neurology & have been raised & “programmed” to respond in civil and moral ways. Yet, it is wise to remember the humanity within us – that “the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Maybe because from a spiritual perspective and existence, time is insignificant, whereas we are ruled by time.In NDE’s – there seems to be a common theme that as pure spirits – we don’t see or hear, but we experience more fully – we can understand many different perspectives of anything or anyone simultaneously.
Maybe the ability to know the future is simply being able to read energy and predict the expression of it, according to how it is going. This doesn’t take into account free agency, though. Yet, for us, again, free agency is expressed differently for us with limited awareness than it would be without the veil.
Is that clear as mud?

GuestI once visited an old Nazi bunker in France and I could just feelthe evil. If I’d been an adult, I might have written it off as merely an emotional experience at the knowledge of the events that occurred there, but I was only eleven and wasn’t really aware of the significance. It’s hard to describe the oppressive, crushing, malevolent atmosphere. December 20, 2012 at 11:47 pm #261108Anonymous

Do we (individually or our interactions) leave like a trail of energy behind us, wherever we go?
Someone who had a NDE said she realized everything had some kind of life/energy – even simple “still” things like furniture.
Also, maybe each of us emits a type of energy.
You know how in some art (especially Catholic art) – there are those halos around some of the people?
I read that back then, they studied auras or astral projection more than we do now.
Some scriptures hint at it, like:
“I Knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.”-2Cor 12:2 December 21, 2012 at 1:31 pm #261109Anonymous
