What was the last PM sent to Shawn about his posting and why it has crossed the line? It seems this is strike 2 and he needs to be coached why it is unacceptable. It probably won’t help, and I’m ok with him leaving, should he not have the capability to moderate his own posts and thinking towards the purpose of the forum, but as Ray said, maybe this topic is his hot-button and maybe he needs to be warned one more time, or strike 3 he is out.

That would be great, Heber. Thank you. Shawn responded that he already sent a PM to wayfarer to apologize if he offended him, and apologizing saying he has ADD and he doesn’t intend to come across that way and he didn’t even read turinturambar’s post at all, so he wasn’t intending to refer to him. He thanked me for my note and said he’d try to rephrase his comments better, but looking back knows he was out of line. The good thing is he doesn’t intend to come across that way, the bad part is I’m not sure he is capable of become aware of how he comes across which leaves little chance he can correct it or change it in the future.
I’m not sure what else to do. I guess keep an eye on him still and see if he catches on.
OK. Thanks for checking with him. How many strikes is this? One more, and I think he really needs to go. LOL. Shawn … again. His “problems” wouldn’t allow him to wait 19 days to get all the answers out. He had to gush them all ahead of everyone else and get it over with. Speaking of problems, I just deleted a topic started by bc-pg that was explicitly bypassing the lockdown you just did Ray. I sent them a message telling them why I deleted it, and asking them not to do it that way. My message:

Thanks, Brian. That’s another person on whom I’ve been keeping an eye – and I’ve been SO close to the edge more than once. Sorry I’ve been in absentia. Just getting caught up here. Shawn just sent me a PM telling me he intended his temple interview thread to be a goodbye to the site. He wanted his answers to the upcoming threads to be in writing before he left. I’ll respond to him privately. I think (and hope) it’s over now.
He has a personality type that makes me wonder if he can stay away. It will be interesting to see. I deactivated his account. Let’s let things chill out for a little while and see if he even bothers contacting us.
