What do you think of the motivation behind posting the video? I have serious doubts about “tgapple” – the posting seems too trollish to me, and this is why: The video obviously was seen as a joke by the guys answering the questions, if you listen carefully to some of the answers. Some of the questions that are written before each clip don’t match the answers the boys are giving. Most of the answers are very innocuous, and when they aren’t laughing the answers actually are quite thoughtful for their age, but the way the questions are constructed makes it look much worse than it was.
The splicing at the end is especially ridiculous.Anything can be created to make the speaker look stupid, and this video obviously does that intentionally. Again, the title and the splicing at the end looks exactly like a political ad that takes clips out of context to make the opponent look bad to those who are ignorant of the actual positions of the politician.
I locked the thread and didn’t approve it until we can discuss it.
PS: This person has another comment on the “Why Stay LDS when you don’t live in Utah?” thread that is awaiting approval. It is, “Because outsiders ( non-utah mormons) understand the religion better than we do here in the utah.” The self-description to register just says, “Struggling LDS looking for answeres”.
Does someone want to initiate a private conversation with this person and get a better feel for who and where s/he is?
