Nanna – Nanna! Boo – Boo! Your glass is darker than my glass!

GuestWhether he was Black or White or somewhere between Whether he was Rich or Poor (do you think the wise men brought the Savior of the world just a smidgen of frankincense, Gold, and myrrh?) and did he have to give it away so as to have suffered all temptation and be able to look one in the eyes and say “go and sell all that thou has, and come follow me”
Whether he was born in Bethlehem or Nazareth or Jerusalem
Whether he was single or married?
Whether the scriptures are accurate or not about every little detail of his life………………………………………….
I love him and am grateful for him.
Merry Christmas all !!!!!!!!!!!

If you live in Japan, the pictures of Christ seem to have the physical characteristics of the Japanese.
If you live in the inner city of the US, Christ is pictured as black.
If you go to an LDS chapel, all the pictures are blond hair & blue eyes.
I find it perfectly acceptable & natural.
If he walked into our sacrament meeting on Sunday, would we recognize him?
I hope this isn’t off topic.
You’re right of course, and I think it is important, because wherever you are, Jesus is one of us, a human.
However, in many places until a few decades ago, this was not the case. A lot of areas showed a Nordic Christ That’s due to European missionaries of various churches.
The truth is, the guy was Jewish, and probably looked Mediterranean, Middle Eastern or Arab. Black, possibly curly, hair, olive complexion, brown eyes, elevated nose. Think southern Italians, Turks, modern Greeks, Arabs, modern Egyptians, Lebanese, the darker type of Jewish people etc. He wasn’t blonde haired and blue eyed. He probably didn’t have a squat nose either. So the European vs African nonsense is a bit out.
Judas is often thought of as having red hair. This is not unknown in the Middle East, but is probably a later invention.
