Just for fun, which character from the Matrix do you identify with the most?

Neo – you’ve realized the establishment isn’t what you thought, and you’re still figuring out what it all means for you

Cypher – you’re jaded and wish you could go back to your previous beliefs more than anything

Trinity – you’ve figured out your new worldview and feel good about it; it empowers you and you’re hungry for more

Mouse – now that you’ve rejected the establishment, the rest doesn’t matter as much and you might as well enjoy yourself

Morpheus – you feel compelled to seek out others and help them come to a better understanding of themselves and reality

Personally I’ve been bouncing around between Mouse and Neo for a long time.

I love the first Matrix, but I didn’t care for the sequels. I think I’m mostly like Neo.

I haven’t seen the movie in years and really don’t remember much but from your description I could relate to any one depending on the day.

I probably bounce around between Neo, Cypher, and Mouse, depending on the day, but I think I’m mostly Neo.

Maybe a cross between Trinity and Morphreus.

Great post! I think I have been most of those characters throughout my faith journey. I was definitely Neo when I took the red pill, but I was Cypher on some level before I took it. ( I realize that doesn’t make sense within the context of the plot.) Now I am definitely Trinity. I love the knowledge I have now, however I would like to be Morpheus. Those of you who are, how do you do it? The only people I talk openly about these issues with is my immediate family, though not by choice, and I try as hard as I can not to disrupt their worldview. But who do you seek out? I’m curious.

Ray, I must be missing an inside joke here.

I think I’m mainly Trinity now. I have a pretty stable worldview. I feel I have a good understanding of how my worldview interfaces with Mormonism. I can speak the language. I don’t have any great desire to mold anyone elses worldview. I hope to love and accept people, whatever their approach may be.
