We’re usually in the kitchen finding something to eat during the prayers
😆 …not to be disrespectful but c’mon, we’re watching a message on TV, we’re not there.My vote for the first woman prayer is first thing Saturday morning. And then maybe another one on Sunday!

Obviously I can’t confim the accuracy of these events but that would cross over into “invasion of the bodysnatchers” strange.

GuestGod bless TiVO. By cutting out the prayers, hymns, sustainings, anyone with Primary Voice speaking, anyone who says “today I’d like to address my remarks to [insert group that doesn’t include me], and that tax guy droning on, I’ve got Gen Conf down to about 2.3 hrs! Boo-yah! March 21, 2013 at 6:52 am #267245Anonymous

Amen to that. Wish I could get my wife to buy in. She gets real mad when I play freeze face choir jibe. When choir is singing freeze the screen when they do close ups..I try to find the folks making funny faces..freeze them and then make up funny things they could be saying….ok..sometimes I am intellectually a 10 year old

No more so than screaming at a television scream objecting to the referee, or telling your team not to be so stupid.

GuestWe humans are pretty irrational. Long may it be that way, in all matters bar politics, science and one or two other things.
I’m grateful this has happened with the minimum of fuss. I’m also grateful for all the sisters and what they do in the church. We’d fall apart without them.

GuestAgreed bluebird! It’s embarrassing that its 2013 and his is a first! March 24, 2013 at 12:31 am #267252Anonymous
GuestTrue, much too late and too little perhaps but still positive. It may not be a first. I read Lucy Mack Smith addressed priesthood in GC once and that’s a new one on me.

GuestEmbarrassing, but positive. It certainly isn’t a negative in any way. March 24, 2013 at 4:09 am #267254Anonymous

Takes a special mix of silly juvenile personality mixed with just a dab of irreverence. Hard to find in a lot of Mormon circles.

GuestI am a great fan of classical music and choral music, but I find watching an orchestra or a choir incredibly dull or funny on TV or in a concert hall. The music’s great, the facial expressions aren’t… some people get amazing carried away while singing. Personally I’m interested in the noise aspect of it, 😆 but some of these people are not going to win Oscars for their emotional interpretation.A few choral facial expressions (with appropriate smileys where possible) –
* Yawning. (I may be singing, but I am sleepy.)
:yawn: * Screaming. (Like mask below.)
* Looking wistful.

* Serious stare. (Kubrick style)
😯 * Ssh! I’m reading. (Look, I’m really following this sheet music until my bit comes up.)
:shh: * Lockjaw. (My mouth’s open, and I am having trouble closing it.)
* Hi Mom! (Big smiley face.)

:wave: * Pious.
:angel: * Zombie. (I’m going to get through this, but I look incredibly wooden just now.)
* Oh, help, how did I get here!

* This music is truly deep, and only I can interpret properly for you.
:ugeek: * This is my best side, that’s why I looking over in that direction.
* I’ve got something stuck up my…
