GuestThank you all for your comments. The Lord really does work in mysterious ways. November 26, 2012 at 9:49 am #260515Anonymous
GuestUpdate since I last posted: Since I posted October 29, 2012, we have met a lot of great people at this new UCC church and attended their middle of the week activities and Thanksgiving Dinner. Now, I substitute teach their adult Sunday school class! I met a woman in the class who has a staunch Mormon daughter. Her daughter just found out her son is gay and is so distraught about it. She is reading my book now and she asked me to help her with her daughter. None of this seems like an accident to me. God uses us where we are needed and this has strengthened my faith that God is truly active in our lives. Interestingly, enough, a woman from the local Unitarian church called me recently about a presentation I made last year on Mormonism and my book at a gay affirming church called “New Church Family.” This coming May 2013 she asked if I would be the main speaker at the Unitarian church Sunday Service and give a similar presentation on Mormonism and my book. God certainly does work in mysterious ways that I never would have imagined.

Whether this is God’s work or just your willingness to help others and be the metaphorical hands of God, I am equally impressed. I know it must have hurt to be rejected by some of the Nazarene church. I am glad that this hasn’t slowed you down in sharing your love with others!

GuestI think that we are naive if we think that membership in the Church is the only final answer (IN THIS LIFE). as only .2%(notice the decimal) of the earth are LDS. Now after this life I make the conclusion that all who are willing to follow Christ will choose to accept his covenants and ordinances and choose to be numbered with those of his church. no LDS church in the afterlife – only the Church of Christ….. perhaps a better way to see the BOM scripture on Church of Christ and Church of the Devil… as there really is only two but it has little to do with the LDS church which only represents Christ Authority in the here and now (1830 to current). That said, It in no way means the church is not true, Only that god is working within all faiths and walks of life to bring as many of his children home as possible.
