Dark Jedi: We have had the Just Serve program for about 18 months .. Maybe a little longer ..
I will never forget going to help rehab a house for an elderly woman. A big group of us worked our tails off for a couple days. During the last couple hours, when this woman is filled with gratitude .. here came some sister missionaries. They were trying to work all the gratitude into a way to teach discussions. They just couldn’t help themselves.
Personally, I felt robbed. All my efforts that were freely given felt suddenly suspect.
Just Serve would be a great place to list SilentDawning’s volunteer opportunities — but make SURE people understand it is not a first discussion opportunity.

They have rolled this out in my area about a year, but they emphasized that this was NOT a proselyting tool. But like you said, some “just can help themselves.”
